Wrappee: 16months, 9kg
I had the honor to test a new wrap from Woven Wings. Where do I start? Perhaps at the beginning. I suppose I don’t need to tell you about the excitement when the postman rang. I didn’t know which tester comes to visit me, so I was really curious. When I opened the box and took out the lovely packaged wrap, I already knew: silk! I love the subtle smell of silk and was immediately happy about the material. I already knew the Geo pattern from the Gold Leaf and from St. Patrick and I am now a confessing fan. At first I wasn’t completely convinced of the color: black, combined with a subtle mint green. In addition, you can see small colored dots everywhere on the wrap that are apparently included in the yarn and woven in the wrap. So these are no nubs or pulls but part of the bourette silk. When I wrapped it and startet to make pictures I fell directly in love with the colour and also when Marco wore it in the afternoon, it was clear that I had completely underestimated the wrap. But there is sometimes the love at second sight 😉
Who now thinks „Oh, silk, that’s perfect for newborns“ is possibly right, because that wrap is really soft and cuddly, but also with toddlers you will enjoy it. It’s a medium thick wrap and really tightly woven. Although our son does not weigh much, but even with 9kg you notice a difference between different wraps. And this one stayed where it has to be, even after a long walk. It’s very supportive and wraps really smooth.
If I have to compare it to other wraps, I would say it is thicker than Puck and Titania, approximately like the wooly Geos but not that fluffy. It is as supportive as the linen Geos but not that thin. It is just something new, an awesome new kind of wrap!
